Clextral offers turnkey engineering solutins integrating twin-screw extrusion and drying technologies for applications in food processing, paper pulp, specialty chemicals and biomaterials. It also offers specially designed pumps for sectors includig nuclear power under its historic DKM brand. 

The world leader in twin-screw extrusion, Clextral has regularly extended this expertise to new fields, starting with plastics processing. Along the way, it has invented most of the new applications now commonly used in food processing for breakfast cereals, extruded crispbreads and snacks, as well as for pet food and fish feed. It has also successfully developed other systems and processes, as well as moving into new areas of food processing such as couscous and pasta.

Clextral further extended its international reach in 2009 with the opening of a new sales office in Morocco and a subsidiary in Australia.
